Q. What happens to my application after it's submitted to Human Resources?
A. All applications are reviewed by Human Resources and the best qualified applicants are sent to the hiring manager and will be contacted for an initial interview.
Q. Can I apply for more than one open position?
A. Yes. Be sure to review the details of the position's requirements closely, i.e. position status (full time, part time, relief), schedule of hours, and do you have the qualifications for the position posted.
Q. What if I want to apply for a position that is not listed?
A. Only available positions are listed on the website. If a position is not listed, we currently have no openings for that position. BCS only accepts applications for open positions.
Q. How long does it take to receive a response?
A. Because the dynamics of BCS's applicant process is unique, response times will vary. It could take up to two weeks before an applicant is contacted. If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified. If you are not selected for an interview, you will not be notified.
Q. Can I contact the department to which I am applying to turn in my application or to check the status of my application?
A. No, every applicant must apply through Human Resources.
Q. Could a criminal history or background affect my ability to be hired by BCS?
A. Yes. BCS conducts a criminal background check on all prospective employees as part of its hiring process. Please note that a criminal conviction will not automatically disqualify you for employment and BCS will conduct a case-by-case review to determine the appropriateness of extending a job offer.
Q. What prevents my application from being sent to the department I requested?
A. If your application is incomplete, it will not be considered (e.g. did you fill in all the information including dates of hire and separation and telephone numbers of previous employers?). Only applicants that are able to meet the requirements, including licensure/certification requirements, of the position will be sent.
